Let's imagine a lion, king of the jungle. He is borned with all the neccessary equipment for him to take revenge, thus, the universe granting all of our wishes, he is borned with fangs, claws and body muscles for him to take revenge on his prey.
Now, lets see, how many animals does the lion 'revenge' on his average lifetime? 1000? 3000?
And how many does human beings kill? For those that were eaten, and for those that were thrown away in restuarants at the end of the day?
If the lion is at the top of the food chain, enabling to take venegence at his enemies from the past, How many enemies of karma is he able to take revenge on?
For humans, on average, we are killing around 300 animals per second. And not only did we kill them, most of the animals are tortured their whole life, and many go crazy even before they are killed. The lion only kill when hungry. His preys have a wholesome quality of life before the final killing. And THAT's taking revenge already.
What kind of karma are we, humans creating? By torturing every second, the entire lifetime of every animal that we eat, setting them in rows of throat-cutters that let them release intense fear long before their actual death.
There was an instance of a live cow being ordered its meat in a restaurant and being cut out in pieces ALIVE in front of a big crowd who came forward to get 'fresh meat'.
As Jing Kong Fa Shi clearly pointed out, this scene, the method of killing animals, are exact scenes in hell. Unknowingly we have created hell scene here! If we humans have already created hell on this very earth that we now live in.. what is in store for us?
I cannot bear to think of the karma that lies in store for all of us who partake in this chain of reaction.. Amituofo.
